As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have been unusally happy lately. Nothing much has changed in my life; same job, same home, same day to day life, but I feel happier overall. Ive been spending some time thinking about why I seem to be happier than usual. I mean, quite honestly, I am a pretty happy and even tempered person, but I seem to be a bit more jolly these days! After some time of thinking and pondering my recent mood, I could only come up with one, yes one, answer to my elation...love! That's it, plain and simple LOVE! Im not talking about the ga-ga, goo-goo love between two high school kids, rather, just acting, doing, and BE-ing in love. Im talking about waking up every day and being grateful for the gift of life. Im talking about greeting your family and friends with a warm good morning. Im talking about going to work, and not just showing up, but really doing your job to your fullest, and best. Im talking about spending time with family and friends, in your free time, really being authentic, and in the moment. Im talking about looking at the beautiful blue sky and the flowers like you've never seen them before. Im talking about love! Treat others with kindness, love and respect, and you will get in it right back at 'cha! After a short period of time, a short period of practicing love, I feel confident that your ball will start rolling, and you will feel an new sense of life. This refreshed feeling is nothing more than love. Acting, doing, and living through love overall seems to make people happier, at least this is the case w me. I feel more balanced, and more full of life than ever before. Who knows, if you start living through love, perhaps the ga-ga, goo-goo love of two high schoolers will present in your life as well!
Today's activity: love
Today, I invite you to live through the eyes of love. Do everything you do with love. Put a spring in your step, and a pep in your voice. Answer your phone, or greet every person you come into contact with, with a smile. Say good morning to your loved one's. Show up for work with your game face on. Be present in the moment, be authentic, and live through love. We were all created out of love, and love surrounds us. It should be relatively easy to free yourself of a stone face, smile, and live through love. Once you begin living through love, you will see just how much love gives your back...I promise! xo
