Today is Veteran's Day. A day to remember, and honor, all of those who have served in our armed forces. All of those women and men who have served and dedicated their lives to us, so we can have freedom. They have left behind their familes, and friends, many never returning, to take on and conquer the amazing task of serving our country. While I never really thought much about veterans in the past, I really have them in my heart, and on my mind today. I am really touched by their patriotism, their love for our country, and their drive and passion to fight for our country. Perhaps it is the fact that I am getting a little older, and well yes, growing up, but I am really touched by veterans. Each day I wake up I am thankful, I am truly thankful for life. I go through my day acting like, or hoping, I have many days ahead of me. My dream list is a mile long, and I really hope I live long enough to complete each and every single dream. I truly try not to take life for granted, but sometimes I do. I truly try to live in the moment, but sometimes I get frustrated and bogged down with the other million things going on in my world. But today I am taken back by the heroic efforts that our armed forces express each and every day. Many of them are on the front lines protecting our country, faced with bombs and rifles right in their face. Many of them hope and pray that their life will not be taken from them right before their eyes. Many of them dream of making it through this day, let alone compiling a dream list of life. I am humbled by each and every one of these service women and men. From my heart, I want to thank each of them, for all of their hard work. Like the saying goes...."if you like your freedom, thank a vet"! So, on this day and always, THANK YOU!!!
Today's activity: thank a Vet!
Today's activity is really quite simple today, just thank a Veteran. Thank him or her for all of their hard work. For paving the way to our freedom. If you personally know a Vet, but sure to give him or her a hug, and thank them for giving you a piece of your freedom. If you have lost a loved one, in the military, say a prayer of thanks in their honor. Today, right here, right now, thank a veteran and let freedom reign!
